Contract awarded to replace Rocky Brook Bridge near Badger

A $794,650 contract has been awarded to replace the Rocky Brook Bridge in the Badger area.

The Department of Forestry, Agriculture and Lands awarded the contract to Nobles Construction of Springdale.

The project involves removing the existing steel girder bridge, centre pier and abutments and replacing them with a new 180-foot steel panel bridge with a timber deck.

The new bridge will be built on poured concrete abutments.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in fall 2026.
