City Manager of Corner Brook passes away

The City Manager in Corner Brook has died.

Rodney Cumby passed away suddenly over the weekend.

The council meeting that was scheduled for Monday night was postponed out of respoect.

In a statement the city said, "This is a profound loss for The City. On behalf of staff and Council, we would like to express our condolences to Rodney’s family and friends."

Cumby has been in the role since 2019.
