ChillFest returns to St. John’s next month

ChillFest, the City of St. John’s annual winter festival, will return Feb. 12–16, offering a free, city-wide lineup of activities for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.

The five-day festival will feature skating parties, snowshoeing and skiing, aquatic fitness sessions, MegaPlay, the Freez’n Fun Run, and a Stroll or Roll, among other events. While all activities are free, some require advance registration.

Festival-goers are also invited to take part in a winter scavenger hunt at Bowring and Bannerman parks. Participants can search for five hidden words in each park and combine them to uncover a unique phrase. Each park has its own set of words and phrases to discover. A ChillFest Mitten Hunt will also take place along Water and Duckworth streets.
