Another Storm Headed Toward NL #nlwx


An area of low pressure centred over Mississippi will move northeastward over the next couple of days while intensifying.


This low will have an impact on the weather in southern Quebec and Atlantic Canada beginning on Sunday.


A few showers are expected Saturday across Newfoundland, from there, the rain will become more persistent on Sunday. There is a risk of freezing rain and ice pellets on the Northern Peninsula.

On Sunday, snow will move into Labrador.


Rainfall amounts of Newfoundland will range from 15 to 30 mm with higher amounts expected on the south coast.


By Wednesday parts of Labrador could see 30 to 50 cm of snow.


Across the southwestern and west coast of Newfoundland, winds may gust to 80 km/h.
