Another Conservative MP crosses the floor

Prime Minister Mark Carney is one seat closer to a majority government after Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux crossed the floor.

The MP for Edmonton Riverbend was first elected in 2015. Back in November, Jeneroux announced his intention to resign as MP in the spring.

The Liberals are now sitting at 169 seats.

He is the third Conservative MP to defect to the Liberals after Chris d'Entremont and Michael Ma.
