An unsettled start to the weekend in Newfoundland

It will be an unsettled start to the long weekend with rain expected across most of the Island today.

On the Avalon Peninsula, rainfall amounts of 10 mm are expected, the south coast could pick up 10 to 20 mm, 5 cm is expected for central and 2 to 4 mm for the west coast.

In Labrador, temperatures will range between 11 and 18 with mostly sunny skies.
