Alberta voters overwhelmingly chose Canada

With 64 percent of polls reporting, Alberta voters have overwhelmingly voted to remain a province of Canada.
In total, 6,574,692 valid votes were cast across the 10-question ballot.
The main question on everyone's mind was Question 10, which stated, "Should Alberta remain a province of Canada, or should the Government of Alberta commence the legal process required under the Canadian Constitution to hold a binding provincial referendum on whether or not Alberta should separate from Canada?"
Of the votes counted so far, 1,216,565 voted to remain a province of Canada, while only 388,057 voters thought the Government of Alberta should commence the legal process required under the Canadian Constitution to hold a binding provincial referendum on whether or not Alberta should separate from Canada.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said, "I’m very pleased to see the initial results from Elections Alberta show widespread support for remaining in Canada. Albertans have voted for a stronger Alberta in a united Canada."
Prime Minister Mark Carney issued a statement that stated, in part, "Albertans made a clear choice. They chose unity, to build together, and to take care of each other. Above all, Albertans chose Canada."
