Adult Mental Health and Addictions Services Relocating in Corner Brook

Adult mental health and addictions services in Corner Brook are moving to a new location beginning November 4.
NL Health Services says Adult Mental Health and Addictions Counselling, Adult Doorways and Opioid Dependence Treatment services are relocating from 35 Boone’s Road to the Corner Brook Community Health Centre at 1 Brookfield Avenue.
November 2 will be the final day of in-person services at the Boone’s Road location. Services will be available virtually only on November 3 while the relocation takes place.
In-person counselling services and regular Opioid Dependence Treatment clinics will resume at the new location on November 4. Services will initially operate from a temporary space on the ground floor before moving into permanent space within the building in early 2027.
The services provide scheduled counselling, rapid-access mental health and addictions support, opioid dependence treatment and home-based withdrawal management.
Regular hours will be Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Adult Doorways will also offer evening appointments on Tuesdays, with the last appointment at 7 p.m.
Individuals seeking information or wishing to access services can call 709-634-4506. Free parking is available at the new location.
NL Health Services says the relocation will not affect inpatient addiction services at Humberwood Treatment Centre, which will remain at 35 Boone’s Road.
Counselling and Doorways services for children and youth will also continue operating at Blomidon Place on Riverside Drive.
