A snowy day in store across Labrador #nlwx

For the Avalon, there will be a few showers this afternoon. There is a chance of showers through Clarenville, Gander, and Bonavista. There is a chance of freezing rain or ice pellets in the Grand Falls-Windsor area. On the West Coast, snow and ice pellets are expected. Rain will mix in at times. On the Northern Peninsula snow or ice pellets will mix with freezing rain beginning this morning then changing to freezing rain or rain near noon. Highs from zero to plus 6 are expected.

In Labrador, 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected in Labrador City, Wabush, and Churchill Falls. The Happy Valley-Goose Bay region will see about 2 to 4 cm today. Snow will reach coastal areas later this afternoon and overnight. Highs will range from minus 1 along southern coastal areas to minus 9 inland.
