A Motorcycle Incident Sent Two People to Hospital in St. John’s on Sunday

Firefighters were called to a portion of Pitts Memorial Drive between Kilbride Overpass and Pearltown Road in the westbound lanes just before 8:25 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a motorcycle accident.

Firefighters from the Mount Pearl fire station were quick to respond to the call; crews arrived to find a motorcycle in the median. One of the occupants was treated on scene before being placed on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. Both people on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital as a result of the incident.

Traffic traveling both east and west on Pitts Memorial Drive was slowed as emergency personnel attended the scene.
