A mixed set up weather-wise today

On the Avalon, rain will begin this afternoon with fog; rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 mm are expected. Some drizzle is expected across the Burin Peninsula. Elsewhere in Newfoundland, it will be fair. Highs from 15 to 24 are expected.

There is a chance of showers across western and southern Labrador. In the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area, showers will end near noon, then it will be mainly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm late in the afternoon. Highs will be from 19 to 25.
