Cloudy periods are expected tonight for most of the Island. Corner Brook will pick up about 2 cm of snow overnight. Lows are expected to be from minus 12 in the north to minus 3 along the south coast.

Across Labrador, expect cloudy periods in most areas with lows from minus 25 to minus 18.

What I'm Watching

A low will bring a mixed bag of weather in Newfoundland from Wednesday evening to Thursday evening.

The Avalon Peninsula and Burin Peninsula will see 20 to 30 mm of rain from early Wednesday evening until Thursday morning.

Southern, western, central, northeastern, and eastern Newfoundland will see snow, changing to freezing rain, and eventually rain from early Wednesday evening until Thursday evening. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible, and 10 to 15 mm of rain.

For the Great Northern Peninsula, 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected overnight Wednesday night until Thursday evening.

All areas will see strong winds.
