A blustery day ahead for Newfoundland

Snow is expected today across central nd eastern Newfoundland. Southern and eastern areas will receive 15 to 25 cm of snow, combined with wind gusts between 60 and 80 km/h today and tonight.


Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm are expected in central areas. On the Northern Peninsula and the Graan Bay to White Bay area, 10 to 20 cm of snow is expected along with wind gusts of 50 to 60 km/h this evening until Wednesday afternoon.


Highs across the Island will range from minus 13 to minus 3.


Labrador is looking at a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of flurries for central and coastal areas. Highs from minus 25 to minus 15 are expected.
