A 35-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night in St. John's after police received a tip from a member of the public that he was violating the conditions of his release.
RNC officers responded at approximately 8:50 p.m. on July 29 after receiving information that the man was in the Barry Street area without his court-ordered surety.
Police located the man and determined he was allegedly in breach of two release order conditions.
During the investigation, officers also learned that another officer had requested a warrant for the man's arrest in connection with alleged theft offences and additional breaches of a release order.
The accused was arrested and taken to the city lockup, where he remained in custody pending a court appearance.
