30 cm of snow possible in parts of Labrador

It might be the last weekend in May but there are snowfall warnings in effect for Hopedale and vicinity, Nain and vicinity, and Postville - Makkovik.

These areas could see 30 centimetres of snow between tonight to Sunday night. Winds will also gust to 50 km/h at times resulting in blowing snow.

The snow is expected to start overnight tonight and will become heavy at times on Sunday.

In the extended forecast, snow is expected to continue through the early part of next week but lower amounts are expected.

Temperatures will warm up through mid next week.
