Information on the Next NL Storm #nlwx

A weather system will push across Atlantic Canada beginning in the Maritimes on Sunday and arriving in Newfoundland on Sunday night.

At this time it looks like snow, rain, ice pellets and freezing rain are expected from this low.

As the ridge of high pressure currently over the region breaks down, the low will force its way into southern Nova Scotia and New Brunswick on Sunday morning.

When the low arrives in Newfoundland it appears as though the south coast and the Avalon Peninsula will see rain. A mix of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain are expected elsewhere. The precipitation will cease Monday night.

Across the region, we don't expect the wind to be too strong.
