The State of Emergency remains in effect in St. John's.

Today (Monday) Pharmacies are not permitted to open on Monday.

Gas stations will be permitted to open for emergency refuelling, the public is asked to only access a station when absolutely necessary.

Snow contractors are permitted to operate.

The Canadian Armed Forces are offering assistance to residents of the City of St. John’s who are unable to shovel a clear access to the home following the recent storm.

This support is limited to vulnerable populations who require physical assistance with snow shovelling for home access only.

If you are unable to clear snow from your door and would like to request assistance from the military, please call the Access St. John’s at 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489). If you are unable to get through, you can email your name and contact information to service@stjohns.ca and an operator will call you back.

It may take several days before all requests are completed.

The City of Mount Pearl will be lifting the State of Emergency from 6:00 am and 9:00 pm, daily.

Pharmacies are permitted to open from 12 pm to 7 pm Private snow clearing operators are permitted to operate The delivery of oil to homes The transportation of essential workers Emergency response vehicles City snow clearing vehicles and operations

The Town of Paradise will temporarily lift the state of emergency from the hours of 6 a.m. and midnight daily.

All businesses are required to close by midnight daily. No vehicles are permitted on Town roads from the hours of midnight to 6 a.m. to allow for snow clearing operations to continue unimpeded.

Only Town snow clearing equipment, emergency vehicles, essential workers travelling to work, and private snow clearing contractors are to be on Town roads during the overnight period. ATVs such as snowmobiles are not permitted on roads and no vehicles are permitted to park on Town roads.

The Town of Portugal Cove – St. Philip’s says the State of Emergency was lifted at 6 am. and expects to reinstate it at 9 pm. This will allow residents to get emergency supplies during the day. Businesses are permitted to open while the state of emergency is lifted.
