A strong area of low pressure will pass east of Nova Scotia and southeast of Newfoundland today and Monday.

In Newfoundland, eastern sections and the Avalon Peninsula will be the hardest hit. Up to 45 cm of snow is expected for the Avalon, with 15 to 30 cm expected elsewhere in the warning area. There will also be wind gusts near 100 km/h, along the immediate areas of the coast, winds may reach 120 km/h.
