Severe Weather Expected New Years Day #nlwx

An area of low pressure is expected to approach Atlantic Canada on New Year's Eve and have an adverse impact on the weather for New Years Day and Thursday.

In Newfoundland, snow arrives on New Years Day in the evening.

The snow will change over to rain along the south coast and on the Avalon.

On the west coast, some wrap-around snow is likely as the low departs.

Snow is expected in Labrador.
