Record Highs Set Across Province on Saturday #nlwx

Record high temperatures were set across Newfoundland and Labrador on Saturday.

Environment and Climate Change Canada says that six areas either set or tied a daily maximum temperature records on August 31.

Here is the list:

Badger New record of 25.6 Old record of 25.0 set in 1961 Records in this area have been kept since 1956

Bonavista New record of 24.5 Old record of 23.8 set in 1981 Records in this area have been kept since 1956

Gander New record of 26.8 Old record of 26.6 set in 1981 Records in this area have been kept since 1937

La Scie Tied record of 23.5 set in 1978 Records in this area have been kept since 1977

Twillingate New record of 24.1 Old record of 23.9 set in 2005 Records in this area have been kept since 1950

Nain New record of 20.1 Old record of 19.5 set in 2005 Records in this area have been kept since 1984
