Labour Day Weekend Forecast #nlwx

We are into the last long weekend of summer.

It only goes downhill from here!

Labour Day, for some of us, is the last chance to go to the cabin or go camping.

With that in mind, let's take a look at what the weather will be like...

Saturday: Nice weather is expected for most of the province. There may be a pop-up shower in the Corner Brook area and is western Labrador. High's will range from 18 to 25 in Newfoundland and 8 to 20 in Labrador.

Sunday: Another nice day expected for the Island. In Labrador, it will be fair to start the day. A line of showers is expected to develop from Labrador City to Happy Valley-Goose Bay. There may actually be some snow in Torngat Mountains National Park! Temperatures from 15 to 19 are expected for the Island and between 9 and 14 for the Big Land.

Monday: It will be another nice day across Newfoundland. A low moving into western Labrador will bring some rain to western areas. High's will range from 15 to 22 across Newfoundland and 15 and 20 in Labrador.

Labour Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers.

Labour Day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.
