Canada-US Border Reopening to US Travellers

The Federal Government made a big announcement on the Canada-US border this afternoon.

As of August 9th, fully vaccinated Americans may enter Canada. Then on September 7th vaccinated travellers from other countries will be permitted access to the country.

Any Canadians hoping to head south will still not be permitted. That decision will need to come from the United States.

Also on August 9th, the hotel quarantine system will be eliminated.

International flights will return to Halifax, Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Quebec City. Previously international flights were only allowed in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
