A 49-year-old woman is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle collision in Labrador City.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary spotted a vehicle that had left the road on Bartlett Drive just after midnight on October 15.

The woman, who was the vehicle’s lone occupant, was not injured.

Police say breath samples showed her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

Her vehicle was impounded, and her driver’s licence was suspended.

She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges of impaired operation and operating a vehicle over the legal limit.
