Victoria man is arrested for impaired driving twice in less than six months

The RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Water Street in Carbonear on Friday morning after suspecting the driver of the vehicle was impaired.

The man failed a roadside breath test. From there he was arrested for impaired driving and was transported back to the detachment where he provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit.

The Victoria man was arrested back on July 24 for impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash. That matter is currently before the court.

Police seized the vehicle and the man's license was suspended.

The man was released from custody.
