Two arrested following theft in St. John's

On Friday evening, the RNC responded to a theft in progress at a retail store in the center city area of St. John’s.

Officers located the two suspects outside the store and once confronted, a struggle ensued when both suspects tried to flee the area on foot.

Officers arrested the 41 year old male and the 41 year old female, charging them each with theft and resisting arrest.

A subsequent check showed that both accused persons had outstanding warrants.

Both were conveyed to the lockup to attend court.
