Buckingham Palace has announced the death of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent.


Katharine, The Duchess of Kent, was married to Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, a grandson of King George V.


The Duchess passed away peacefully last night at Kensington Palace, surrounded by her family.


Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, she became the oldest living member of the British royal family.
