RNC to conduct training exercise in Goulds

The RNC will conduct a critical incident training exercise in the Goulds area of St. John’s today.

The exercise is scheduled to take place on Power’s Road between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and will involve the RNC’s Tactics and Rescue Unit, Police Dog Services, Traffic Services and drones.

Residents may notice an increased police presence in the area, but the RNC says all activities are planned and monitored as part of scheduled training to strengthen emergency response.

The public is asked to avoid the area during the exercise. Signage will be in place.
