RNC Investigating Homicide in Mount Pearl

The RNC is investigating a homicide following the death of a female in Mount Pearl.

On Thursday police responded to a residence on Smallwood Drive in Mount Pearl in relation to a report of a sudden death. A 65-year-old female was deceased inside the home. The RNC referred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of the death.

At this stage in the investigation, the information gathered does not present an indication of a risk to the safety of the community in connection with this event.

The RNC will provide updates related to this investigation as the process progresses.
