Province to announce changes to medical transportation programs

The Newfoundland and Labrador government is set to announce enhancements to two programs that help residents with the costs and logistics of travelling for medical care.

Labrador Affairs Minister Lela Evans, Health and Community Services Minister Joedy Wall and Labrador West MHA Joe Power are scheduled to announce changes to the Medical Transportation Assistance Program and the Medical Transportation Supports Program.

The announcement is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. today, September 28, at the Confederation Building Media Centre in St. John’s.
