Prince Andrew gives up Royal title

Prince Andrew will no longer use his title, Duke of York or the honours he has.

In a statement from Buckingham Palace, Andrew said, "In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family."

Andrew has been under scrutiny and pressure over his links with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

He will remain a prince. A decision was made five years ago to stand back from public life.

The statement added, "I vigorously deny the accusations against me."
