Police make arrest in graffiti incident

The RNC made an arrest connected to property damage by graffiti in downtown St. John’s.

On Sunday, police responded to a report of property damage.

The officers determined that private property in the downtown area of St. John’s had been covered with spray paint.

Responding officers located an individual who was believed to be responsible for the damage in the downtown area. As a result of investigation into the event, an 18-year-old male from Portugal Cove – St. Philips was charged with mischief by damaging property.

The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
