Pitts Memorial Drive to close for culvert replacement

Pitts Memorial Drive will be closed in both directions from Friday evening, October 9, to midday Monday, October 12, for culvert replacement work.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says the closure will affect the section between the Heavy Tree Road intersection and the Bay Bulls Overpass as part of an ongoing construction project.

Detours and signage will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes, expect delays and allow extra travel time.

The department says the full closure will allow crews to complete the work more safely and efficiently, reducing the overall duration of traffic disruptions.
