One submission for HMP replacement

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says it has received just one Request for Qualifications to replace Her Majesty’s Penitentiary.

The only submission was from New Avalon Corrections Partners.

Government will continue the procurement process with one proponent in accordance with the Public Procurement Act and Regulations. This is the first stage in a two-stage procurement process for the facility and it is not a proposal.

Last month government re-issued a Request for Qualifications for the replacement of the adult correctional facility, as a result of significantly increased construction costs.
