One person arrested following Standoff in St John's, Friday afternoon





ST JOHN'S NL.


At around 1:00 p.m. early Friday afternoon. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Responded to reports of a potential weapons offense at a residential property on Livingstone Street in Downtown St John's.


The RNC OPS and Tactics and Rescue Team are on the scene of a potential weapons offense on Livingstone Street in St. John's, where they have a property has been contained. Livingstone Street is closed from Lime Street to Carters Hill.


Update at 3:30 p.m

A heavy police presence remains on Livingstone Street following reports of a potential weapons offense at a residential property. At this time, two individuals have exited the home. The incident is still ongoing.


Update at 4:20 p.m

Officers at the scene have made an arrest on one individual and police say they will remain in the area to continue their investigation.
