Mount Pearl Collision Victim Waits Nearly Two Hours for Ambulance on Monday Night

One person was taken to hospital after waiting almost two hours for an ambulance to arrive in Mount Pearl on Monday night.

Firefighters responded to the collision at the intersection of Blackmarsh Road and Topsail Road at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Monday night for a collision involving two vehicles.

The driver of one vehicle, who suffered minor injuries waited one hour and forty-eight minutes for an ambulance to arrive on the scene before she was transported to hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

Traffic in the area was detoured into a nearby parking lot as crews worked to clear the scene and wait for an ambulance.

Both vehicles involved in the collision sustained minor to moderate damage.
