Marystown RCMP opens their doors for public to see new State of the art detachment

On September 28 2024 Marystown RCMP opened there door to the public for a tour of there new detachment that was completed back in December of 2023.


This new state of the art facility witch will provide services to communities as far away as English Harbour East, Terrenceville, Monkstown all the way up to Point May, Lamaline, Fortune.


The new detachment which replaces the old detachment of 40 years has meany new features such as, state-of-the-art biophilic and thermal design and energy efficient lighting and plumbing systems, it is also equipped with a EV charging stations. the station also provides fully functional cell pavilion with secure cells, a breath-testing and fingerprinting area.


The $12 million build is cost shared with 70% funded by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and 30% by the Government of Canada


At the open house today Corporal (Cpl.) Peter Gosse of B Divisions RCMP's Pro-Active Recruiting Program joined the public to welcome them in to the new detachment. Marlow and her handler Corporal (Cpl.) Kyle Hrynyk from Clarenville came up from to also welcome the public in.
