Man charged with manslaughter following assault

A 23-year-old male has been arrested after an assault on Tuesday that resulted in a male being transported to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

On Wednesday this male succumbed to his injuries.

The accused now faces charges of manslaughter, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation. He was held to appear in court.
