It's Budget Day

The provincial budget will be delivered today.

Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Siobhan Coady will rise in the House of Assembly to table the budget at 2:00 p.m.

In the last economic update, the provincial economy largely performed as expected in 2023, with most year-to-date indicators showing growth and either meeting or exceeding Budget 2023 forecast values.

In Budget 2023 it was projected that the province would be in a surplus position next year, two years ahead of schedule.
