Football Player Trading Football Gear for Scrubs

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is trading in his football gear for scrubs.

The Canadian is the football guard for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.

He is a medical graduate.

He graduated from McGill University Faculty of Medicine in May 2018 with a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery.

He primarily studied during the off-season prior to mandatory off-season workouts.

He is now working at one of Quebec's troubled long-term care facilities for seniors.

He was drafted by the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
