Fire destroys property in Port au Port, early Friday morning.

No reported injuries following a fire at a property that caused significant damage to the building.

Fire crews were called to the fire around 10:40 a.m. on Friday morning in the area of Main Road and Duffy Lane after muiltple calls to 911 came in about the blaze.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, after being dispatched, they were met with heavy flames and smoke coming from the structure. Firefighters quickly started laying attack lines and hooking up an supply line and within an hour or so the fire was knocked down with remaining hotspots.

There were no reported injuries at this time.
