Eddie Joyce Suing Premier, MHA's, & Commissioner

Independent MHA Eddie Joyce is suing Premier Ball, two MHA's, and Bruce Chaulk, the commissioner of legislative standards.

A statement of claim at the Supreme Court in Corner Brook.

The lawsuit stemmed from the harassment complaint in 2018 when he was expelled from the Liberal cabinet and the caucus.

Joyce sat as an MHA and won the 2019 election.

He represents the district of Humber-Bay of Islands.

Joyce had broken the code of conduct for elected officials when he lobbied Minister Gambin-Walsh to hire a friend of his for a government job; Joyce was cleared on all other allegations.

On November 16, 2018, Joyce confirmed that he had been denied re-entry into the Liberal caucus.
