Cyclist Taken to Hospital After Collision With Taxi in St. John’s


A cyclist was taken to hospital on Monday night following an incident involving a taxi cab in St. John’s.
Firefighters, along with other emergency personnel, received reports of the incident just after 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Paton Street and Elizabeth Avenue.
Crews arrived to find an injured cyclist and tended to him, until paramedics arrived on scene. The cyclist was then put on a stretcher and loaded aboard an ambulance where he was taken to a hospital and treated for what appeared to be non-life-threatening.
The driver of the taxi cab did remain on scene of the incident. The cab did sustain some damage as a result.
