Conservative candidate posts disturbing image on YouTube video

Conservative candidate Cheryl Gallant added a video to YouTube featuring an imagine depicting Liberal Leader with a string around his neck.

The image caused quite a stir online.

All of her videos have since been removed.

Gallant represents the riding of Renfrew—Nipissing—Pembroke in the House.

This is not the first time that Gallant has been the center of controversy. In 2002, she made anti-gay remarks to then Minister of Foreign Affairs Bill Graham. She has also made remarks regarding abortion and in February 2021, Gallant was recorded on a Zoom meeting with a university student group, accusing Liberals of wanting to “normalize sexual activity with children”.
