Coast Guard assisting ship adrift off South Coast

The MV Comanche is adrift off the south coast of Newfoundland near the southwestern Avalon Peninsula. The ship's engine has failed.

The Canadian Coast Guard has dispatched the Cygnus and the Terry Fox to access the situation.

Currently, there are three tugboats assisting the ship.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
