The St. John’s Board of Trade has launched a new award allowing the public to choose a business they believe deserves recognition.

The Locally Loved Award is part of the Board of Trade’s annual Business Awards and differs from other categories, which are decided by a judging panel.

All businesses nominated across this year’s Business Awards categories are automatically eligible. Public voting is open until Nov. 19, with the three nominees receiving the most votes advancing to the final round.

The winner will be selected by attendees at the Business Awards Gala, where voting will take place live. The first Locally Loved Award recipient will be announced that evening.

“Locally Loved is an exciting opportunity to engage the community and get reaction from the Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who directly interact with businesses,” said AnnMarie Boudreau, CEO of the Board of Trade.
