Big Game Licence Draw Results Now Available


The Big Game Licence Draw for 2021-2022 is completed, and applicants can now view the results on the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture’s Wildlife Information Management System website.


The draw results will also be mailed to applicants.


The island allocation includes 17,506 either sex licences, 9,959 male-only licences and 475 either sex licences for not-for-profit groups. In Labrador 384 either sex licenses are available. The overall provincial total is 28,324, an increase of 369 licenses from the 2020 season.


For caribou hunters, there are 575 licences available on the island, of which 380 are for either sex and the remaining 195 are for male-only licences. Caribou hunting is currently prohibited in Labrador.


Big-game licence fee payments must be received by 4:30 pm on June 30, 2021, and can be made by:

  • Credit card on the department’s website;

  • Cheque or money order payable to the Newfoundland Exchequer at the address noted on the back of the Big Game Licence Draw Notice; and

  • VISA, MasterCard or debit card by contacting the Central’s Cashier’s Office at 709-729-3042.

In-person payments are not accepted at this time, as counter service has been suspended due to COVID-19.
