The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is providing information to the public regarding resources available to help access the Newfoundland and Labrador Disability Benefit.

Last June, the Provincial Government announced the Newfoundland and Labrador Disability Benefit. The benefit includes two components. The first is a monthly benefit of up to $400 per month to those who qualify. The second is a $1,200 annual contribution to a person’s Registered Disability Savings Plan.

There is no application required for the monthly benefit or the annual Registered Disability Savings Plan contribution. If a person files their taxes and receives the Federal Disability Tax Credit, payments will be made automatically to qualifying persons.
