3.2 Billion Online Credentials Leaked

On February 12th, approximately 3.2 billion online credentials were leaked online after a data breach.

In some cases, this includes emails and passwords.

The credentials in this breach were combined from a number of different places. This is being considered the biggest data breach ever impacting Netflix, LinkedIn, Bitcoin, and more.

A data breach occurs when a cybercriminal successfully infiltrates a data source and extracts sensitive information. This can be done physically by accessing a computer or network to steal local files or by bypassing network security remotely.

Password tips:

  • Make it long.
