Trent Butt Fires Lawyers

Trent Butt, the man accused of murdering his daughter, has fired his lawyers.

Both Bob Simmonds and Mike King were fired by Butt on Wednesday.

Jury selection was supposed to take place on Monday in St. John's, however, that will likely now be postponed.

Since he fired his legal counsel he will not have the chance to choose his next lawyers.

The body of Quinn Butt was found in a house fire back in 2016.

Butt has pleaded not guilty to charges.
