Avalon Precipitation will likely be in the form of rain with 15 to 25 mm of rain possible with strong wind.
Central Ice pellets will change to freezing rain and eventually rain. Ice pellet amounts of 5 to 10 mm is expected, freezing rain of 5 mm and rain of 10 to 15 mm. We will see strong wind also.
South Coast Freezing rain along the south coast beginning early in the afternoon. Changing to rain overnight on Wednesday with 30 to 40 mm of rain possible along with strong wind.
West Freezing rain or ice pellets by 12 pm. Changing to snow briefly then to rain and back to snow by Thursday afternoon. Strong wind will also be an issue.
Northern Peninsula Heavy snow with 15 to 30 cm expected. Expect strong wind and blowing snow.
Labrador Heavy snow with 15 to 30 cm expected. Except in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and surrounding areas where 30 to 40 cm is possible. Expect strong wind and blowing snow.
